The pets of the week are Hansel, a male German shepherd in cage D10, and a white and beige male cat in cage C3. The Texarkana Animal Shelter has 44 dogs, 30 puppies, 41 cats and 16 kittens for adoption, said a shelter official. There were 33 adoptions in the past week and 37 animals were euthanized.
